Furthermore, the government aims to keep the country’s unemployment rate below 5% for the same period. So far, the government has stated that 13 million new urban jobs were created in 2016, beating its target of 10 million. China is aiming to support sectors that create jobs and promote entrepreneurship such as businesses related to the sharing economy, and back new industries such as information technology, high-end equipment, new materials, biotech and new energy vehicles. They will also support small businesses, labor-intensive manufacturing industries and services, using tax incentives and financial policy tools such as differentiated reserve requirement.
